For the most part we, as mediators, are well-skilled at managing the range of concerns that many participants express about engaging in the mediation process. This includes a range of anxieties and fears that have the potential for interfering with their ability to effectively engage in the process. The reality is many people are ill-prepared to participate in mediation and to engage in a face-to-face conversation with the other person with whom they are in conflict. Based on her research and the development of the CINERGY model of conflict management coaching, Cinnie Noble, our guest speak on July 2 will share her findings and the type of process she uses to prepare mediation parties to engage in mediation when it comes to workplace and other interpersonal disputes.
