Bio
Karen H. Richards of Karen Richards Training & Mediation LLC has worked as a mediator and conflict resolution and communication trainer since 1993 serving thousands of individuals, families and public and private organizations through training, mediation and facilitation. A Virginia Certified general and family mediator, mentor, and trainer, she provides conflict resolution and training services throughout the state. Ms. Richards serves as a Workplace Mediator for the Virginia Department of Human Resource Management Office of Equal Employment and Dispute Resolution. She has served on the Board of Directors for the Virginia Mediation Network since 2012 and is the Immediate Past President of the organization. Ms. Richards served the Hampton Roads community for many years as a staff member, trainer and volunteer for the former Virginia Conflict Resolution Center where she was honored in 2011 for “Advancing the Profession of Mediation”. Ms. Richards also is certified to administer and deliver the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI®), Steps 1® and 2® and enjoys working with individuals and organizations using the MBTI®. She received a B.S. in Journalism from the University of Maryland - College Park, and a M.A. in Transpersonal Studies from Atlantic University.
