Violence in our schools: The Role of Peer Mediation

10/13/2025 11:15 AM | Noel Levan

Hi folks:

The current and periodic violence in our public schools warrants a renewal of the value of mediation among faculty, administrations and students alike.

Are our VMN members currently engaged to offer "peer mediation" training in those environments?

I would like to have us consider a commonwealth-wide effort to renew our engagement with public education. Is there among us some who will volunteer to develop (or re-engage) a program that I know has been offered in past years, to offer such peer mediation training?

I welcome your input as I proceed to inquire of our own local schools.

Care fully,

Noel Levan, Family Mediator, Parenting Educator
